IN MY OPINION: Truk Lagoon (Chuuk) continues to be the #1 destination in the world for wreck divers. For wreck diving junkies, this is dive paradise.

But most divers who've never been there don't know that the wrecks are teeming with marine life of all sizes and variety. The great misconception is that Truk Lagoon diving is only for wreck divers. Many of them (Fukikawa, Shinkoku, Yamagiri, Sankisan, Kensho) should be considered as a big metal structures covered with corals. With only a couple of exceptions (the deep wrecks) all the rest are very easy to dive on with depths between 20-90ft, and its rare that there's ever any current.
